Born in Sacramento, California, Taylor has also called Chicago, Illinois and Spokane, Washington home. She started dance a little late - age 12. But ballet became her passion. She trained at Ballet Arts Academy in Spokane, Washington under the direction of Dodie Askegard, as well as Sara Donally, Peggy Goodner Tan and Pam Erickson. Each Christmas she danced with Alberta Ballet and Ballet Memphis in the local production of the Nutcracker. She loved visiting Ballet Memphis in Tennessee to take class and watch company classes. She danced for several years with Theater Ballet of Spokane, including the annual Ballet and Bubbly performances at Spokane First Night. Several times Taylor danced for New York City Ballet principal Charles Askegard when he choreographed for Theater Ballet of Spokane. She even spent a summer studying ballet at Ben Stevenson’s Houston Ballet Academy. Upon high school graduation, Taylor decided that it was time to fulfill her lifetime dream of going to college. She maintains a 3.9 GPA at Whitworth University as a journalism and communications major and French minor (and she’s active in the dance ministry club!). She teaches at Dance Emporium in Spokane and adores her students with all her heart.
