
Megan Garcia was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. She began dancing Hula, Tahitian, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Musical Theatre at the age of 5, at Na Maka O Pu’uwai Aloha Hula and Performing Arts Studio. Megan began dancing Ballet while attending Sacred Hearts Academy for high school.
She studied at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA for her first two years of undergraduate education. While in Washington, Megan traveled to the American College Dance Association, was a member of the Gonzaga Dance Team, began her Modern Dance training, then danced with Vytal Movement Dance Company. Megan studied Dance at the Pineapple Performing Arts Studio in London, England while participating in GU’s Spirituality and the Arts Study Abroad Program.
Now attending the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Megan is a current member of the University of Hawai’i Rainbow Warrior Dance Team, teaches Ballet and Jazz at Na Maka O Pu’uwai Aloha, and is rehearsing for UHM’s Fall Dance Production: Taiko Drum & Dance: Hana Hou.
