Angelie MelzerAngelie has danced and taught professionally throughout the United States with Colorado Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Dayton Ballet and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, as an adjunct and guest faculty member of the Dance and Kinesiology departments at Texas A&M, University of New Mexico and University of Missouri. She studied on Full Scholarship at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Colorado Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet Schools. In her early training years she completed the Royal Academy of Dancing Exams, with Highest Honors, and later studied the Vaganova Method under the tutelage and coaching of Nadia Tikahnova and Sergei Kozadayev , master teachers of the Vaganova School, and was offered a Full Scholarship to the Moscow Ballet Academy, Moscow Russia at the age of 13.
Angelie worked with internationally renowned choreographers and had original works set on her to include "Magnolia" and "Then There Was" performed as a guest artist with the Martha Graham Company. Her favorite roles included "Odette" Swan Lake, "Sugar Plum Fairy" Nutcracker, "Cinderella" in Cinderella and Balanchine's Western Symphony and Serenade. Also a business owner and entrepreneur, Angelie runs Team Pilates and the Professional Performing Arts Institute which houses the Professional Ballet School. |
